How this data is built
Winners are compiled from public ceremony records. Most are cross-checked against a second source before they ship; the rows that are not carry an “unverified” badge, so you can see which is which. Each show is tracked from 2000 to its most recent ceremony. Categories that were introduced, retired or merged part-way through say so on their own page, with the years they actually ran. The same dataset powers the stat cards across the site, so a number you read in a blog post is the number you can verify right here.
